Our Programs

Teaching Overview

Our teaching philosophy is based on different world known approaches such as Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf, etc. Each of them has their own strength and at the same time they miss some important areas of development. The world has changed and so have we. We strive to take the best of each developmental approach, add more to what we know from our experience, continue learning, improve when needed, make changes when we see better ways, and move forward with a new vision.

We try to make learning interesting. This is the easiest way to keep children's attention during classes.

Children benefit much when they are in a group with children of different ages. It is a natural way to grow and develop good social skills. Studies show that people with better social skills are more successful and happy in life.

Older children take the role of leaders, they help youngsters, and teach them. On a daily basis they learn how to yield to younger ones, to be condescending to the behavior of the little ones.

Younger children benefit much from older ones around them, they strive to imitate the elders, and reach for their skills.

For academic activities children are divided into small groups according to their age and abilities.

We also engage children in individual activities during the day. They gain individual attention in areas they need help.

Under 2 years old

For this age group we focus on language development. Language must surround little kids, it must be the right language. We speak, read, sing and play language development games. Language is not only a way to speak but also a way to think. The better language - the deeper thinking.

We also encourage little ones to develop fine and gross motor skills - they draw and paint, do manipulatives, solve puzzles, play with building sets, do gymnastics, play musical instruments, play with water, sand, playdough.

We love to create something together - a parking lot or a car wash for our toy cars, a school for our dolls, a restaurant for friends and teachers, a hospital for teddy bears) This is the best preparation for upcoming classes.

Children continue to develop language. We strive to create the best language rich environment - we read and sing, play word games and speak the right language all the time. We encourage and direct children to play with words, sounds and letters. This is the best way to make a great foundation for upcoming reading skills.

Children are also encouraged to further develop fine and gross motor skills - they color pages and draw on an everyday basis, dance, do gymnastics, play with manipulatives, solve puzzles, build from different sets, they make friends, take roles in pretend play all the time which is the best way to develop language and social skills.

We continue to create something together - a spaceship, a pirate ship, a city with shops and schools, etc.) Everybody loves it! Children do wonderful art projects and are always very proud of their works!

Children continue to develop language. We also learn many words and phrases in English. Children memorize many songs, they sing and dance and now are ready for more advanced manipulatives, puzzles, construction sets and much more. Children recognise letters and numbers and do fun assignments with numbers and letters.

They perform songs, dances, poems, and orchestra for parents. We love to discover a world around us and learn about everything - insects, plants, transport, different countries, bees, ballet, birds, mammals, cosmos, music and much more.

Children help around - set up and clean up tables for meals and snacks, swipe after art projects are done, distribute materials for class, wipe from white board, etc. Everybody strives to be a helper!

When outside we love to organize sports competitions. It is fun for everybody - a very joyful and friendly activity. Everybody is a winner!

This is a time when we pay great attention to school readiness. Children learn to read and write, they do more advanced math, manipulatives, they are always encouraged to design and create their own engineering construction - buildings, bridges, different types of machines or creatures.

They sing songs and dance, do gymnastics, learn English words and simple sentences, learn rhythm in music and perform with simple musical instruments.

We observe how silkworms hatch from eggs and emerge into silkmoths. We excavate dinosaurs, shells and treasures from fossils. We create our own pond with different inhabitants, nests for birds, and erupting volcanoes.

We plant and eat many delicious plants such as spinach, kale, tomatoes and cucumbers. Also children plant flowers.

We do gymnastics, art and crafts, speech / tongue gymnastics and many more everyday activities.

On an everyday basis we had many engaging (and fun) discussions about why we need to sleep, eat healthy food, listen to parents and teachers, develop friendships and much more.

We pay great attention to developing such qualities such as friendliness, respect, civility as well as learning how to share and help younger children.
